Construction Begins on 18-Kilometer Road in Balkh's Keshndi District

Officials have announced that construction work on 18 kilometers of road in the Keshndi district of Balkh province has begun. The road is from Pul Barq to the district. This information was shared by Maulvi Abdul Saboor Saber, the head of Public Works of Balkh province.

The road construction project is worth approximately 450 million Afghanis. It is funded by the budget of the Ministry of Public Works. The project will include the construction of two bridges. It will also include culverts and retaining walls.

Saber said that about 20 percent of the work has been completed. The project is expected to be finished within two years. The work is being carried out using local engineers and local machinery.
