Construction has commenced on the Spinzer commercial complex and a new city entrance gate in the Khwaja Ghar district of Takhar province. The project, funded through a joint public-private partnership, carries a total cost of 543 million Afghanis and will be developed across 33 jareeb of land over a two-year period.
Takhar Governor Mawlawi Samiullah Hizbullah stated that the development is expected to generate substantial economic activity for the region. According to project projections, the construction phase alone will employ more than 4,000 workers. Once fully operational, the complex is anticipated to provide jobs for approximately 30,000 individuals.
The facility will feature a range of commercial and public amenities, including a multi-story hotel, a mosque, a modern bathhouse, sports halls, futsal fields, and retail markets. Mawlawi Abdul Ghafur Shahidzai, head of the Spinzer Company, confirmed the scope of the development and outlined the planned infrastructure.
In addition to the main complex, the contracting firm has agreed to construct a city entrance gate at the request of provincial authorities. The gate project, valued at 2 million Afghanis, was voluntarily incorporated into the broader development agreement. Officials emphasized that the combined infrastructure is intended to stimulate local commerce, improve urban facilities, and support long-term economic growth in northern Afghanistan.
