Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund has inaugurated construction work on the third section of the Qaisar-Laman ring road in Badghis province.

The fifty-kilometer section of the road runs from Muqur district to Balamorghab district. It will be built by a private company at a cost of four billion six hundred fifty-two million Afghanis and is scheduled to be completed within three years.

The entire Qaisar-Laman ring road spans two hundred thirty-three kilometers and is divided into five sections. The project is expected to improve regional connectivity once all sections are finished.

Religious scholars, tribal elders and officials attended the inauguration ceremony and presented local demands. These included accelerating the road's completion, establishing a new port with Turkmenistan, supplying electricity, constructing dams, maintaining the river, building bridges and additional roads, and reducing poverty and unemployment.
