Construction has begun on a two-kilometer road from Tabli Shah village to Char Dara in Raghistan district of Badakhshan province.

The project costs 1.8 million Afghanis and is implemented with financial and technical cooperation from local residents as well as district administration support.

Raghistan district governor Maulvi Mohammad Asif Zafariar said the project aims to facilitate movement and access to service centers, connecting hundreds of families after completion.

A meeting was held at the district administration with officials, tribal elders and residents to emphasize the importance of road construction.

Local residents welcomed the project as meeting a basic need.
