The Afghanistan Football Federation announced the appointment of Dejan Djedovic as head coach of the Afghanistan national futsal team. The Serbian coach has entered into a two-year agreement with the federation.
This development was formalized during a press conference that took place in the capital city of Kabul. The head of the Futsal Committee, Mohammad Nasir Rahmani, was present for the official signing of the contract alongside the new coach.
The federation has also decided to extend the contract of Mohammad Nasir Sedaghat, who serves as the manager of the national futsal team.
Several foreign specialists have been added to the technical staff supporting the team. These include Javad Asghari-Moghadam from Iran, who will act as technical manager. Morteza Mansour Samaei, another specialist from Iran, has been assigned the role of goalkeepers coach.
Auriel Massana from Spain joins the team as assistant coach. Sadegh Amani from Iran will handle fitness training as the fitness coach. Additionally, Joao Lira from Brazil has been appointed as the team's analyst.
With these changes, there is hope that the national futsal team will see improved performance and growth in competitions at the regional and Asian levels.
