
Foreign Company Proposes Investment to Digitalize Afghan Administrative Systems
A senior official of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan met with representatives of a foreign enterprise to discuss potential investments aimed at modernizing the country’s administrative infrastructure. Dr. Mullah Abdul Wase, head of the General Office of the Prime Minister, convened with Shahla Hooper Jamal, director of the Al-Madina company, to review proposals for upgrading state-run digital systems.
During the meeting, the company outlined its interest in financing the digitalization of several essential public services. The proposed initiatives target the modernization of driver’s licensing procedures, the rollout of electronic passports, and the implementation of digital census programs. Company representatives stated that deploying these technologies would reduce administrative delays and improve overall service delivery for citizens.
Dr. Mullah Abdul Wase welcomed the investment proposal, emphasizing that the digital transformation of economic, administrative, and security sectors is a strategic priority. He noted that integrating modern technology into government operations would enhance institutional efficiency and transparency. Officials assured the visiting delegation that the Islamic Emirate would extend all necessary facilities and support to ensure the smooth execution of the projects. The Prime Minister’s Office indicated that the detailed proposals will be transmitted to the appropriate technical departments for evaluation and next steps.
