Indian Films 'Dhoomdhar' and 'Dhoomdhar: Revenge' Report $177 Million in Global Sales
Indian media reports indicate that the films "Dhoomdhar" and its sequel "Dhoomdhar: Revenge," starring Ranveer Singh, have surpassed 1,700 crore rupees, approximately $177 million, in global box office sales.
The sales figures, cited from the Sacnilk analytical database and News18 India, suggest the series could set a new record for an Indian cinematic franchise if independently verified. The films, directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, have drawn strong audience responses in India and select foreign markets.
"Dhoomdhar: Revenge" centers on the character Jeskirat Singh Rangi as he ventures into organized crime in Karachi. The cast features prominent actors including Ranveer Singh, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sanjay Dutt.
While the reported earnings highlight the commercial success of the series, the figures await confirmation from independent sources.
