
Information Minister Haqqani Pledges Support for Media, Cultural Activities in Logar
LOGAR, Afghanistan (Afghan Verified) -- Minister of Information and Culture Sheikh Sher Ahmad Haqqani pledged his ministry's commitment to supporting media outlets and promoting cultural activities during a visit to Logar province.
Haqqani made the remarks at a gathering in central Logar on Friday. He outlined the objectives of the visit, which included assessing cultural and artistic activities, reviewing the preservation of historical sites, following up on the Jihadi Museum project, and improving media access in the province.
Logar Deputy Governor Mawlawi Mohammad Anwar Dinparwar stated that cultural activities have expanded significantly in the province. He added that officials are actively addressing challenges facing the media sector.
Mawlawi Faizullah Johari, the Information and Culture Director for Logar, reported substantial progress in media and cultural initiatives in the province. Johari stressed the need for continued support to sustain these developments.
The officials highlighted the ministry's ongoing efforts to foster an environment conducive to media operations and cultural growth. Haqqani's visit underscored the government's focus on these sectors amid reports of advancements and remaining hurdles.
