Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee Discusses Waste-to-Energy Plant, Commercial Market and Agricultural Machinery Projects
KABUL -- The Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee held a meeting to discuss investment plans for constructing a commercial market and a modern waste-to-electricity factory in Kabul, along with assembly and production of tractors and agricultural machinery in Kandahar, Herat and Balkh provinces.
Both Hurriyat and RTA reported on the discussions, confirming the committee reviewed these projects. Hurriyat specified the commercial market and waste-to-electricity factory for Kabul's first district, while RTA placed the waste-to-energy power plant in Kabul city more generally.
RTA stated the regular meeting took place yesterday, the 18th of Hamal, at the Marble Palace. Hurriyat attributed details to statements from the Prime Minister's Economic Deputy, while RTA cited a press release from the Economic Deputy Office.
The plans have been referred to relevant agencies and departments for technical and economic evaluation, with instructions to report back, as noted by both outlets.
The initiatives aim to boost commercial infrastructure in the capital and support agricultural mechanization in key provinces.
