The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent warned of dramatically increasing emergency medical needs in Iran, with potential depletion of vital equipment stocks if the conflicts continue.
Maria Martinez, head of the IFRC delegation in Iran, stated that humanitarian needs are outpacing the response ability of relief organizations.
Three IFRC employees have been killed during the attacks, including one in an airstrike on March 31 on a clinic in Zanjan province.
Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that more than 600 schools and educational centers have been targeted since the attacks began.
The ministry's figures highlight the escalating toll from the airstrikes, which began late last month. The IFRC's warnings underscore the strain on Iran's medical infrastructure amid ongoing hostilities.
