
Islamic Emirate Allocates 100 Jeribs of Land for Export Processing Center in Kabul
KABUL — The Ministry of Industry and Commerce has received 100 jeribs of land for the establishment of a standard export processing center in Kabul.
The ministry's press office announced the allocation on Monday. Mawlavi Shahabuddin Saqib, Deputy Minister of Commerce, accepted the land from Qari Hujatullah Abbas, Head of the Kabul Zone of the Ministry of Public Works. The handover was conducted based on a decree from the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
The planned center will handle the processing, packaging, and preparation of export products. Officials stated it aims to enhance exports, improve the quality of domestic goods, and provide better facilities for traders.
Furthermore, the center is expected to create job opportunities for local citizens and ensure a more organized and standardized export process.
Initial survey work and project stages have been completed, with construction of the surrounding wall set to begin shortly.
