Islamic Emirate Commission Monitors Over 120 Signs and Billboards in Kabul

The Commission for the Reform of Signs and Billboards under the Deputy Ministry of Publications of the Ministry of Information and Culture of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan conducted monitoring of signs and billboards in the Breshna area of Kabul's fourth district. This monitoring was part of a reform program.

More than 120 signs and billboards were monitored. The commission reviewed non-standard signs and provided recommendations on alternatives in Pashto and Dari.

Recommendations were also given on signs that are aged, inappropriately located, contain images contrary to Islamic values, or obstruct traffic visibility.

Syed Mahmood Wakman, representative of the Academy of Sciences and commission member, spoke with media, shopkeepers, and citizens about the commission's activities.
