Jowzjan Carpet Industrial Park Handed Over for Use

Provincial officials in Jowzjan have completed the construction of a carpet industrial park in the Aqcha district and have handed it over for use. The park covers an area of 416 jeribs of land.

At the inauguration event, Jowzjan Governor Maulvi Abdullah Sarhadi spoke about the value of the project. He said that the establishment of industrial infrastructure is essential for achieving economic growth and drawing in investment. The governor also pointed out that such projects help in supporting domestic production efforts.

According to the governor, the park will offer additional facilities to producers and investors operating in the area. This is expected to lead to improvements in the carpet sector overall.

The park has been designed with several objectives in mind. These include standardizing carpet production methods, improving marketing for the goods, expanding investment in the industry, increasing exports, and raising incomes for local residents. Job creation is also listed among the anticipated benefits.

Jowzjan province has a long history with the carpet weaving industry, which is common in the region. Many families there rely on this industry for their economic activities and livelihoods.
