
Kabul Municipality Announces 233 Development Projects for Solar Year 1405
Kabul Municipality announced that it has 233 development projects underway during the current solar year 1405, with a total cost of 9 billion 123 million 495 thousand afghanis funded from internal revenues.
The projects cover roads, overpasses, green spaces, city beautification, land acquisition, and urban services, according to officials who spoke at a press conference on the municipality's activities and achievements.
Engineer Mohammad Qasem Afghan, Nematullah Barkazi, and Molavi Mohammad Khalid Sijistani provided details on the initiatives. They highlighted that over the past four and a half years, the municipality has constructed 450 kilometers of new roads in Kabul.
In solar year 1404 alone, 137 kilometers of new roads were built, the officials stated.
The announcement underscores ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and urban services in the Afghan capital using domestic funding sources.
