Kabul Municipality Reports Building 450 Kilometers of Roads Since Islamic Emirate Re-establishment
Kabul Municipality's deputy minister of urban and environmental services, Maulvi Khalid Sijistani, said the body has built 450 kilometers of roads, repaired nearly 473,000 meters more, constructed canals and parks, acquired properties and planted millions of seedlings since the Islamic Emirate's re-establishment four and a half years ago.

Kabul Municipality has constructed 450 kilometers of roads, including asphalted, concreted and stone-paved ones, over the past four and a half years since the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, according to Maulvi Khalid Sijistani, the body's deputy minister of urban and environmental services.
Sijistani said the municipality also repaired 472,957 meters of roads during the period.
The official added that 18,585 meters of canals have been built, with another 6,147 meters under construction. Acquisition processes for 11,287 properties have been completed, he said.
In addition, the municipality produced, propagated and planted 6,399,000 seedlings and plants, Sijistani stated. It also built and renovated 12 parks, with three more under construction.
