Laghman province security officials have collected 38 drug addicts from Mihtarlam city and various districts of the province. The individuals were transferred to the 5000-bed hospital in Kabul for treatment.
Yunus Yusufzai, spokesman for the Laghman province police command, said the Drug Control Management carried out the collection and transfer. He stated that the addicts will return to their families after receiving full treatment and regaining their health.
Yusufzai added that fighting drug addiction is an important responsibility in Laghman. The process of collecting, treating, and rehabilitating addicts will continue.
