Laghman province police anti-narcotics unit arrested 10 people on charges of buying, selling and smuggling narcotics during special operations across Mehtarlam city and six districts, according to the police command's media office.

The operations targeted various areas in the provincial capital and the districts. Police seized 9 grams of hashish, 9 grams of opium, 8 grams of crystal meth, five Zikp pills and two Tablet Ka pills from the suspects.

The arrested individuals are currently under preliminary investigation and will be handed over to judicial authorities for further proceedings.
