Major Fire Erupts in Dasht-e Shor Area of Mazar-e-Sharif

A major fire erupted several hours ago in the Dasht-e Shor area of Mazar-e-Sharif in northern Afghanistan. The fire is located in District 2 near Chowk-e Khabarnagar, which is also known as Journalist Square. This location is in close proximity to various medical and educational facilities.

According to available information, the fire has been raging for several hours and has not yet been brought under control. Thick smoke is visible from many parts of the city. Videos from the area capture powerful explosions that are likely due to the presence of liquid fuel or other highly flammable materials.

The nearby facilities include medicine faculties, a veterinary clinic, a former military hospital, and private healthcare centers. As of now, there are no official reports on any casualties or the amount of damage inflicted by the fire. Authorities have not identified the cause of the blaze.
