
Ministry of Justice Closes 263 Transaction Guidance Offices in Kabul Last Year
KABUL (Afghan Verified) — Afghanistan's Ministry of Justice closed 263 transaction guidance offices in Kabul during solar year 1404 after inspecting 2,244 such offices in the city.
The closures were due to repeated violations, lack of activity permits or non-renewal of licenses, and illegal activities, according to the ministry's report. The inspections were conducted by the supervisory team of the ministry's General Directorate of Transaction Guidance and Real Estate Affairs.
During the same period, the ministry issued 1,271 new licenses to real estate brokers, renewed 879 existing licenses, and canceled or revoked 202 licenses for legal reasons or at the request of the holders.
The ministry also oversaw petition-writing activities, monitoring 545 petition writers in Kabul and suspending 20 due to violations. It renewed 561 petition-writing licenses and conducted exams for 233 applicants before issuing permits to qualified candidates.
Additionally, the ministry introduced an online system for registering real estate transactions aimed at preventing fraud.
