The Ministry of Public Works of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan states that transfers through the country's four railway ports--Hairatan, Aqina, Torghundi, and Khaf-Herat--are proceeding normally with no obstacles.

Ministry spokesperson Mohammad Ashraf Haqshenas reported that from March 8 to 12 (8-12 Hoot 1404), 127,650 metric tons of petroleum, non-petroleum goods, and other commodities were imported and exported. The breakdown includes 88,186 tons via Hairatan, 10,769 tons via Aqina, 14,123 tons via Torghundi, and 14,572 tons via Khaf-Herat. Of this total, 265 tons were exports, mainly dried fruits and minerals.

Minister Mullah Mohammad Isa Thani has directed officials at the four ports and provincial public works directors to provide additional facilities for traders transporting food and essential items amid current conditions. The ministry is also working to ensure safe and suitable conditions for traders and vehicles on transit highways.

Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, confirmed that operations at the Khaf-Herat railway commission are normal, with commercial transfers uninterrupted. He noted a recent arrival of a freight train at Dozank station in Herat province carrying 42 wagons of cement and two wagons of MDF boards, and another train with food and fuel expected that night. Mujahid added that Iranian railway officials reported about 900 wagons en route to Afghanistan, proceeding normally, and urged national traders to avoid unjustified price increases to maintain market stability.

Haqshenas highlighted a 33% increase in rail cargo transfers over the first 11 months of the current solar year compared to the previous year, totaling over 5 million metric tons. He emphasized ongoing projects to strengthen and expand Afghanistan's rail network since the establishment of the Islamic Emirate.
