KABUL (Afghan Verified) - The Ministry of Water and Energy announced the completion and handover for use of a dam, canal and protective wall project in the Kahanapal area of Alishing district, Laghman province.

Funded by the World Food Programme at a cost of five million Afghanis, the project includes an 18-meter dam, a 65-meter canal and a 161-meter protective wall.

The ministry stated that the infrastructure will irrigate approximately 300 jeribs of agricultural land and benefit nearly 450 families in the area.
