New Building of Grand Mosque Sayed Ja'far Mujarrad Inaugurated in Parwan
CHARIKAR, Afghanistan (Afghan Verified) - The new building of the Grand Mosque Sayed Ja'far Mujarrad, known as the White Mosque, in Charikar city, Parwan province, was inaugurated on Wednesday.
Sheikh Mawlawi Aziz al-Rahman Mansur, Governor of Parwan, spoke at the ceremony, stating the mosque was constructed with $270,000 in financial support from two traders and residents of Charikar. He thanked the donors and said, "Mosques belong to Allah, and whoever builds one, Allah will build a house for him in paradise."
The governor urged residents to maintain unity and solidarity, warning against allowing enemies to interfere or create divisions.
Sheikh Muhammad Yahya Naksbandi, Head of Guidance at the Guidance, Hajj and Endowments Directorate, and Mawlawi Fathullah Madani, Head of Intelligence for Parwan, described the construction as a virtuous deed. They noted that the Prophet Muhammad built the first mosque upon arriving in Medina and emphasized that building mosques constitutes an ongoing charity for those with faith in Allah and the Day of Judgment.
Haji Ali Jan, head of Parwan Sabz Construction Company and the project's engineer, said the mosque was built on one jerib of land over nearly two years. The two-story structure includes all necessary facilities and has a capacity for 1,000 worshippers at a time.
