New Telecommunications Site Activated in Logar Province
A new telecommunications site operated by Salam Telecom has been activated in the Sefid Sang area of the Mohammad Agha district in Logar Province, expanding connectivity for local residents. The infrastructure project, which required an investment of $100,000, was constructed and brought online by the service provider to deliver high-quality voice and internet services to the surrounding communities.
Mawlawi Mutiullah Abid, head of the Logar Province Department of Telecommunications and Information Technology, confirmed the site’s recent activation. He stated that the newly commissioned facility will provide reliable telecommunications and internet access to thousands of residents in the district, addressing previous gaps in network coverage. The expansion is expected to facilitate communication for households, businesses, and local institutions in the area.
The activation of the Sefid Sang site follows the recent commissioning of another Salam Telecom facility within the Mohammad Agha district. Provincial telecommunications officials have noted that these parallel developments reflect a broader initiative to strengthen digital infrastructure across Logar. By upgrading network capacity and extending service reach, authorities aim to support regional development and improve public access to modern communication tools. The continued expansion of telecommunications networks in the province is expected to enhance connectivity for remote communities and facilitate daily economic and social activities.
