Olive Orchards Expand in Nangarhar Province Amid Accelerated Ministry Efforts

The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock has accelerated efforts to expand olive production and establish fruit orchards, resulting in significant growth particularly in Nangarhar province.

Officials from the Nangarhar Valley Agricultural Company stated that the orchards in Block 3 of Hedah Farm are in good condition. They noted the greenery of the trees has enhanced the beauty of the entire area.

According to these officials, about 800 jeribs of land in the block have been allocated for olive cultivation. The trees are in suitable growth condition, and good yields are expected.

The officials added that continuous attention from the leadership of the Nangarhar Valley Agricultural Company is expected to produce considerable yields this year. They said this will play an important role in increasing agricultural revenues.

The ministry's initiatives through the Nangarhar Valley Company continue to develop agriculture and horticulture in its farms. These efforts not only boost olive production but also contribute to economic growth, job creation and increased domestic production.
