The Ministry of Public Works announced that 178,421 metric tons of goods were transferred via its railway lines during the week of 15-21 Hoot in the current solar year.

The transfers included 124,533 tons through Hairatan port, 16,905 tons through Aqina port, 20,193 tons through Torghundi port, and 16,790 tons through the Khaf-Herat line. These shipments comprised petroleum goods, non-petroleum products, and other materials, covering both imports and exports.

Exports during the period totaled 1,090 tons, consisting mainly of dried fruits and pomegranate juice.

The ministry stated that increasing rail transfers and exports create more job opportunities, boost national revenues, and pave the way for economic stability, progress, and self-sufficiency.

It added that the ministry is working to provide suitable conditions for goods transfers and additional facilities for domestic and foreign traders. Efforts are focused on making the process of transporting commercial goods via railway lines continuous and efficient to increase national revenues.
