
Over 4,300 Copper Ingots Seized in Foiled Smuggling Attempt in Helmand
The Ministry of Defense has announced the foiling of a smuggling attempt involving over 4,300 copper ingots in the Bahramcha district of Helmand province. Security forces seized 4,382 copper ingots in the Rabat area. The 215 Azam Corps was responsible for the operation that prevented the illegal transport of the ingots out of the country.
In the same operation, security forces confiscated medical equipment that was being smuggled into the country. The illegal medical equipment was destroyed by fire.
The Ministry of Defense stated that the security and defense forces will not allow illegal imports or exports. The statement added that sustained action will be taken against such illegal activities.
The report details how the copper ingots were seized before they could leave the country. The number of ingots at 4,382 shows the scale of the smuggling attempt that was stopped in the Rabat area of Bahramcha district.
