Pakistan's Information Minister Ataullah Tarar stated that security forces killed 29 members of the TTP and Jamaat-ul-Ahrar in strikes on the Afghan provinces of Paktia, Paktika, and Kunar.
The operations formed part of the Ghazab-ul-Haq campaign conducted on June 28 and 29 and also destroyed weapons and ammunition, the minister said.
The announcement followed an attack on a Pakistan Rangers camp in Karachi's Gulistan Johar area that killed three security personnel and injured four others, which Pakistani authorities attributed to Jamaat-ul-Ahrar.
A separate ground operation in Bajaur District killed four TTP members, including senior commander Khan Farosh, also referred to as Zabal.
Pakistan accuses Afghanistan's Taliban of sheltering TTP members. The Taliban deny the allegations and describe insecurity inside Pakistan as an internal matter.
