Public Security Police Intercept Hundreds of Undocumented Vehicles in Kabul

The General Directorate of Public Security Police has conducted a coordinated traffic enforcement operation across Kabul, intercepting vehicles that lacked proper documentation. According to official figures, officers stopped 418 undocumented vehicles at the Arghandi and Sangnaweshta entry checkpoints before they could enter the capital. Security personnel also identified and halted an additional 111 vehicles operating within the city limits, transferring them to a designated police compound.

Abdul Rahim Zahir, head of the Public Security Police, stated that the initiative is designed to strengthen urban security and prevent potential criminal activity. He emphasized that law enforcement maintains zero tolerance for negligence regarding vehicle registration and traffic regulations. Drivers found without the required legal paperwork were either redirected to their points of origin or processed at a police facility.

Authorities have urged all motorists to consistently carry valid registration and legal documentation while traveling through the capital and its surrounding checkpoints. The police directorate indicated that routine inspections will continue to ensure strict compliance with traffic laws and to support broader public safety objectives in the city. The enforcement campaign underscores the department's ongoing focus on regulating vehicular movement and maintaining public order in the capital.
