Public Works Minister Visits Construction on Khaf-Herat Railway Fourth Section

The Minister of Public Works for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mullah Mohammad Isa Thani, has carried out an inspection of the ongoing construction on the fourth section of the Khaf-Herat railway. This visit allowed for an evaluation of the project's advancement in its initial and subsequent phases within that section.

Particular attention was given to the first phase, which covers a distance of 43 kilometers and currently stands at 97 percent completion in terms of physical work. The second phase, measuring 47.3 kilometers, has been under construction since it was initiated last year. The minister's assessment extended to the Rosanak railway station and the various activities taking place at the Islam Qala border point.

Thani issued specific instructions to the engineers and officials involved in the project. He stressed the need to finish the work within the planned schedule while adhering to quality standards. Additional guidance was provided concerning improvements in services and the efficiency of transfers at the Rosanak railway station.

This series of evaluations occurred during the minister's travel through the southwest zone. The directives aim to ensure that infrastructure developments meet expectations and support better connectivity in the region.
