Road Graveling Project Begins in Badakhshan's Argo District

Graveling work has officially commenced on a six-kilometer stretch of road located in the Argo district of Badakhshan province. The infrastructure project is designed to establish a better connection between the district's main road and the road leading to the Khaksari area.

Mulla Shamsuddin Nazari, the mayor of Argo district, confirmed the commencement and the specific details of the project. Nazari stated that the initiative is aimed at improving the general transportation network in the region, which will ease the travel experience for local residents and those traveling to the district center.

The project is being funded through a private contribution from a local merchant named Haji Habibullah. The total cost of the graveling work is one million Afghanis. Local officials and community members have reported that the project is a necessary step to improve accessibility in the area.

By improving the road surface, the project seeks to reduce the difficulties associated with travel in the district, particularly during seasons when unpaved roads become difficult to navigate. The collaboration between the local administration and the private donor is intended to enhance the mobility of both people and goods within the Argo district, representing a local effort to upgrade infrastructure through private-public cooperation.
