Road Paving and Canal Project Begins in Herat's 10th District

Construction work has started on a road paving and canal building project in the 10th district of Herat. The project was launched by Mayor Mawlawi Hamdullah Nomani.

The initiative covers a stretch of 750 meters on Chaharbagh Turkha Street. The road will be paved to a width of 7 meters, and canals will be constructed on both sides. The total cost of the project is 12,902,586 Afghanis.

Details of the project were provided by Engineer Mohammad Ayub Saif al-Jihad, the head of technical affairs at the Herat municipality. He noted that the company carrying out the work is required to adhere to the specified standards and complete the project within the designated period.

The entire project is scheduled to be finished in four months. People living in the area have welcomed the development. They believe it will enhance transportation and help in preventing the accumulation of water. At the same time, they have called for close monitoring to ensure the quality of the construction.

This project represents an effort by the local administration to address infrastructure needs in the district. Officials have emphasized the importance of timely and standard-compliant execution by the implementing company.
