
Salam Telecom Installs 18 3G Antennas in 15 Kandahar Districts
KANDAHAR, Afghanistan — Salam Telecom Company has installed and activated 18 new 3G antennas across 15 districts in Kandahar province.
Ministry of Communications and Information Technology spokesperson Enayatullah Alkouzi announced the development on X, stating that the project was funded by the ministry's Atra agency under the 10th phase of the Telecommunications Development Fund (TDF).
The new antennas provide communication services to remote areas that previously lacked access, addressing longstanding gaps in connectivity and internet availability.
Local residents welcomed the installations, expressing happiness over the enhanced services and relief from prior communication challenges.
Atra agency continues its nationwide efforts to expand telecommunications infrastructure through the TDF project, aiming to improve access in underserved regions across Afghanistan.
