Seven historical artifacts estimated to be around 300 years old have been handed over to the Information and Culture department in Sar-i-Pul province. Local residents discovered the items in Frashqan-i-Qalan village of Sancharak district and turned them in to authorities.

The artifacts consist of a small cauldron, a lamp stand, a candlestick, a broken cauldron, a plate stand, an oil container and two spoon handles. Governor Mullah Ahmad Shah Din Dost described the handover as a valuable step in preserving Afghanistan's historical and cultural heritage. Mullah Abdul Ghaffar Haqnama, head of the Information and Culture department in the province, said that protecting historical artifacts is a shared national and Islamic responsibility.
