Seven infrastructure projects have been completed and officially handed over in the Hazrat Sultan district of Samangan province. These initiatives were implemented at a total cost of 11.5 million Afghanis, with financial support provided by Norway.

Moulvi Abdul Rahim Qasim of the Department of Rural Reconstruction and Development stated that the completed projects are expected to benefit more than 22,000 residents. He further noted that the construction phase of these projects provided employment opportunities for dozens of local people, supporting the regional economy during the implementation process.

The infrastructure improvements include the development of a 10-kilometer road, the installation of three culverts, and the construction of one small bridge to facilitate movement within the district. To improve access to essential services, the projects also included the establishment of drinking water networks and cisterns, as well as the installation of solar energy systems.

Additionally, the projects focused on water management and flood prevention, featuring a 208-meter canal and a 27-meter check dam. These works were carried out across several villages in the district, including Alikhel, Sangarkhel, Ghaznigag, Qarchablagh, Asyabad, Gawdara, and Omli. The completion of these works aims to enhance the overall living conditions and accessibility for the rural population in the region.
