Karachi police reported seven people wounded by stray bullets from celebratory Eid firing across the city, including three children.

According to statements from the Karachi police media section, the victims consist of three children, three men and one woman. Four of the wounded were taken to Shaheed Abbasi Hospital, two to Jinnah Medical Center and one to Madni Hospital.

Police detailed that an eight-year-old boy was injured by a stray bullet near Dawood Chorangi and transferred to Jinnah Hospital. Investigations into the incidents are underway.

Such aerial firing leading to injuries from stray bullets is common during celebratory events in Karachi, including Independence Day, New Year's Eve and weddings. Earlier this year, at least 28 people were wounded in aerial firing during New Year's celebrations in the city. In January, six people were wounded at a bullfight ceremony in Karachi.
