The spring traditional mushaira of Samsor Laghman was organized by the Laghman Department of Information and Culture in Nuri village of Alingar district on the banks of the Alingar river near Mehtarlam city. Poets from various provinces across Afghanistan, along with writers, cultural figures, and literature enthusiasts, attended the gathering and recited epic, peaceful, and reformative poems.
Maulvi Abdul Noor Rasouli, head of the Laghman Department of Information and Culture, said that mushairas play an important role in intellectual training, cultural development, and strengthening of literature. Hafiz Anzargul Abdullah, deputy governor of Laghman, stated that such events contribute to intellectual development and promote Islamic and national values.
The Samsor Laghman mushaira is an annual traditional event held to develop literature and culture, strengthen ties among poets, and encourage young talents.
