Standards and Quality Administration Returns 25,190 kg of Low-Quality Izogam at Islam Qala Port
Afghanistan's Standards and Quality Administration prevented the import of 25,190 kilograms of low-quality Izogam at the Islam Qala port, returning the shipment to the exporting country after it failed to meet domestic standards.
The agency evaluated the consignment and determined it did not comply with national quality requirements. Officials at the port rejected the goods, ensuring they did not enter the domestic market.
In a press release, the Standards and Quality Administration emphasized its commitment to strictly enforcing standards at all ports of entry. The agency stated that such measures are vital for guaranteeing the quality of imported goods and safeguarding public health.
This action reflects the administration's ongoing efforts to maintain rigorous quality controls on imports passing through key border points like Islam Qala. By rejecting substandard products, the agency aims to protect consumers from potentially harmful materials.
The Standards and Quality Administration continues to monitor shipments at ports nationwide, prioritizing compliance with domestic standards to support safe and reliable trade.
