Survivors Demand Justice After Pakistani Airstrikes in Khost, Paktika and Kunar

Survivors and relatives of civilians killed in Pakistani army airstrikes on residential areas have come forward to demand justice and an investigation into the incidents.

The strikes occurred on Wednesday night in the Spera district of Khost province, as well as in Barmal district of Paktika province and Shultan area of Kunar province. Reports indicate that fourteen civilians lost their lives in the attacks, which also injured fourteen others. Among the deceased were women and children.

One survivor, ten-year-old Marzia from Spera, recounted how she lost eight family members, including both of her parents, in the strike on her home. Witnesses and affected families maintained that the areas hit were purely residential and contained no military targets or presence of any armed groups.

Several named relatives, including Gul Zaman, Shahidullah Amin, Gul Alim, and Enayatullah, have publicly called for accountability. They seek involvement from international human rights organizations to probe the events. The families have appealed to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to take a firm stance against the attacks and to consider cutting diplomatic ties with Pakistan. Some have gone further by suggesting the closure of Pakistan's diplomatic mission in the capital.

These demands highlight the ongoing concerns of border communities regarding cross-border military actions and their impact on civilian lives.
