Taliban Increase Security and Conduct Arrests in Panjshir

The Taliban have increased security measures and conducted widespread arrests in Panjshir province following reports of anti-leadership graffiti and armed clashes.

In the Darah Abdullah Khail district, arrests and interrogations are reportedly underway after slogans such as "Death to Hibatullah" and "Panjshir will be liberated" appeared in the area. Local residents have reported instances of harassment and torture during these operations.

In the Pariyan district, intense clashes occurred between the Taliban and unidentified armed opponents. These encounters resulted in several Taliban casualties. In response, the Taliban have deployed additional forces to the district and are carrying out house-to-house searches.

Reports from the region also indicate the use of drone patrols and aerial firing by the Taliban in various parts of Panjshir province.
