The Taliban Ministry of Borders, Ethnicities and Tribes announced that a clash between Bamyan residents and Kuchis in the Pushta Gharghari area of Tobak village, Panjab district, has been resolved.

The ministry said the dispute, which began on 26 Jawza, was settled after meetings with both sides through dialogue and a decision based on Sharia principles. It reported that two people were injured and both sides suffered significant financial losses.

Local sources described a higher number of injuries, stating that at least three farmers were beaten and injured by armed Kuchis. These sources added that the Kuchis were directed to leave the area but instead attacked Noqiagh village and remain present with their herds on local lands.

The Kuchis have filed a complaint against the Panjab district governor, security commander and ethnic elders. Ongoing tensions have led to the closure of two local schools, Dahan Sorkhak and Qala Chal, preventing students from attending classes. Reports of armed Kuchis firing at residential houses also emerged from the area.

Reliability assessment

Single source but includes direct on-record statement from named Taliban Ministry of Borders, Ethnicities and Tribes confirming the core event (clash and intervention); additional details from local sources with concrete locations, dates, and descriptions.

The source language mixes facts with framing or advocacy wording. Afghanistan International: "brutal crackdown" is not present; charged phrases include "armed reaction", "inciting people against the Kuchis", and "no effective action has yet been taken to fully control the tensions" which frame the Taliban authorities' response as inadequate or biased while emphasizing harm to local farmers through selective details and unverified claims.
