
Three Detained over Car Theft in Nangarhar
JALALABAD, Afghanistan -- Police in Nangarhar province arrested three individuals for car theft in the 1st police district of Jalalabad city.
The suspects confessed to stealing vehicles from various areas of Jalalabad, according to a statement from police headquarters. They transported the stolen cars to other locations to repaint them, dismantle them into parts, or sell them directly at reduced prices. The group also sold individual vehicle parts at lower rates.
During the arrests, police recovered vehicle parts, license plates and one stolen car from the suspects.
Police headquarters provided details on the confessions and recovered items, confirming the operation targeted a network involved in vehicle theft and resale.
