Two roadside explosions struck Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday, killing at least seven people and injuring three others.
The first blast was caused by an improvised explosive device that hit a passenger van traveling from Hathi Khel village to Bannu city. Five passengers died in the initial explosion.
A second explosion occurred shortly afterward at the same location. It killed two rescuers who had reached the site and damaged a vehicle.
