
Two Smugglers Arrested in Nangarhar with 15 Kilograms of Shisha Narcotics
Border forces operating in eastern Afghanistan have detained two individuals suspected of smuggling narcotics in Nangarhar province. The security operation was conducted in the Tori Nao Sar area of Dur Baba district, where personnel intercepted a shipment of illicit substances being transported through the region.
The 201 Khalid bin Walid Corps confirmed that the arrest was carried out by the discovery and counter-intelligence department of the Second Border Brigade. During the raid, authorities seized exactly 15 kilograms and 236 grams of a narcotic substance locally identified as "shisha." The precise chemical makeup of the confiscated material was not specified in the official statement.
Corps spokesperson Maulawi Wahidullah Mohammadi verified the operation and noted that the two suspects are currently undergoing preliminary investigations. Once these initial inquiries are concluded, the detainees will be formally transferred to judicial authorities for standard legal processing. Mohammadi reiterated that military and border units continue to monitor transit routes to prevent illicit trafficking.
