The under-12 grassroots football league started Saturday with 16 teams at Ghazi Stadium in Kabul. The Kabul Football Federation announced that the competition involves 16 teams divided into two groups of eight, with teams competing on a points basis.

On the opening day, four matches were played. Jaghori United defeated Ansari 7-0, Dawoodzai beat Bakhtar Youths 2-0, Rasul Shahid won 5-0 against Afghan Academy, and Omid Afghan triumphed 5-0 over Umid Ittehad B.

The federation stated that the league aims to promote grassroots football development. The competitions will continue in the coming days.
