US Congress Research Report Describes Pakistan as Hub for Terrorist Groups
A research report from the US Congress states that Pakistan serves as a strong hub for terrorist groups and has launched extensive missions for terrorist activities against neighbors including Afghanistan in five areas: the world, Afghanistan, Indian Kashmir, internal wars, and religious pretexts.
The report, shared with Congress four days prior to March 29, 2026, claims that Pakistan's coordination with these groups has strained its relations with neighbors to the brink of violence. It accuses Pakistan of training terrorist groups against its neighbors, the region, and the world as a tool of political pressure.
Pakistan has portrayed itself as a victim to secure international aid while supporting such groups, the report indicates.
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has raised concerns with neighboring countries about terrorist centers located in areas under Pakistani control.
