The Ministry of Interior has announced the seizure of dozens of weapons and ammunition in the Jaghori district of Ghazni province. The operation was carried out by security forces over a period of three months, focusing on the recovery of illegal arms stored in private residences.
According to the ministry, the seized inventory consists of a variety of firearms, including eight Kalashnikovs, seven pistols, three shotguns, and four carbines. The operation also resulted in the recovery of one M16 rifle and one mortar. In addition to the weapons, security forces confiscated 18 rounds of ammunition.
The Ministry of Interior stated that these items were being kept illegally in private homes. Consequently, the seized weapons and ammunition have been designated as state property, known as Bayt al-Mal.
