Work Begins on Four Projects in Badghis Province

Local officials in Badghis province have announced the commencement of four projects aimed at constructing retaining walls and a bridge in the Qadis and Abkamari districts.
The projects are funded by the International Organization for Migration in coordination with the Directorate for Fighting Natural Disasters.
Details of the projects are as follows. In the village of Arbab Shah Mahmood in Qadis district, construction is underway on a retaining wall that is 92 meters long and 4.10 meters high.
In Khwaja Hai Khairkhana village of Qadis district, a retaining wall measuring 130 meters in length and 3.80 meters in height is being built.
Construction has also started on a retaining wall in Zad Hakim Khairkhana village in Qadis district. This wall is 169.5 meters long and 4.20 meters high.
The fourth project involves building a bridge in Zimat village of Abkamari district. The bridge will be 15.70 meters long, 13 meters wide, and 6 meters high.
Upon completion, the projects are expected to help prevent damage caused by floods and other natural disasters. They will also contribute to better safety and movement for people living in the affected areas.
